Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Web Design District (“Web Design District,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit webdesigndistrict.com (the “Site”), submit our website planner, or purchase our services.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Site. You can reach us at any time at info@webdesigndistrict.com.

1. Information you provide to us

When you submit our website planner, we collect:

We save your contact details as soon as you complete the first step, before you finish the rest of the planner. This is described on the form itself.

2. Information collected automatically

When you visit the Site we automatically collect:

Session recording and heatmaps

We use Microsoft Clarity to record your interactions with the Site. This includes mouse movement, clicks, scrolling, and navigation between pages, which is replayed as a session recording and aggregated into heatmaps. Clarity masks the contents of form fields by default, so text you type into the planner is not captured in the recording — though the information you deliberately submit is received by us as described in section 1.

Recordings are linked to a randomly generated submission identifier so we can connect a session to an enquiry. They are not linked to your name or email address within Clarity.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Blocking them will not prevent you from using the planner, but some functionality — such as saving your draft — may not work.

4. How we use information

5. Advertising, and how we share data with Meta

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. To measure which advertisements produce enquiries and customers, we share event information with Meta Platforms, Inc. both from your browser (via the Meta Pixel) and from our servers (via Meta’s Conversions API). The information shared may include:

Under California law, this activity is considered “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising, and under several other state laws it is considered “targeted advertising.” We do not sell personal information for money. You can opt out at any time — see section 8.

6. Service providers

We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes described here:

We may also disclose information where required by law, to enforce our agreements, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not share your project details with other clients.

7. How long we keep information

8. Your privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion of it, obtain a portable copy, opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information, and appeal a decision we make about your request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any right, email info@webdesigndistrict.com with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will verify your identity, usually by confirming control of the email address associated with your enquiry, and respond within the time required by applicable law (generally 45 days). An authorised agent may submit a request on your behalf with written proof of authorisation.

Opting out of advertising

You can opt out of our advertising-related sharing by:

9. Children

The Site and our services are intended for businesses and for individuals aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and restricted database credentials to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Visitors outside the United States

We operate in the United States and process and store information there. If you access the Site from another country, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site. Continuing to use the Site after a change means you accept the revised policy.
